About Dyuti Halder

Story

Dyuti Ghosh is an accepted young performer in the region of Theatre and Dance. She started her training in dance at the tender age of five. After her initial training from Sri Shakti Nag (Bharat Natyam), she has gone through the long rigorous ‘riyaz’ under the tutelage of Sri Prashanta Chatterjee (Bharat Natyam), student of danseuse Anita Mallik and later under Smt. Alokeparna Guha (Kathak); student of the Kathak exponent Dr. Malabika Mitra. She has imbibed within herself the essence of two prominent gharanas of Kathak-‘Jaipur’ and ‘Lucknow’. The vigour of modern and western dance forms under the guidance of Sudipto Kundu have immencely influenced her performance. Conoisseurs have wholeheartedly praised her performances.

She has undergone intensive acting training program under Guru Goutam Halder since 2007.

Dyuti Completed her Master’s Degree in Dietetics and Community Nutrition Management from Vidyasagar University with 74.1% marks in the year of 2008-09 She was 1st class First GOLD MEDALIST in her batch.
She Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from Gokhale Memorial Girls College with 70.375% marks in the year of 2006 where she was 1st class First also.
Currently, Dyuti is teaching Nutrition in Sree Sarada Ashrama Uchchha Balika Vidyalaya since 2012-2013.

Dyuti is a whole time theatre worker and Awarded the Best Actor in a supporting role (female) in Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards 2016 for her character (Mrinmoyee) in HAOAI.
She was awarded Shyamal Sen Smriti Samman from SWAPNASANDHANI Theatre Troupe in 2018 for work in Theatre.
Dyuti also received Junior Fellowship from Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India for research work ‘Directors and ACTOR DIRECTORS in Bengali THEATRE : Relation between ACTOR AND Director’ in the field of theatre.
